US size 5 / 3.75 mm 32" or longer circular needle and set of double-pointed needles
US size 3 / 3.25 mm 32" or longer circular needle
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
- DK weight yarn in 2 colors: 275 yds / 251 m (MC) and 290 yds / 265 m (CC)
- Yarn used: Galler Yarns Prime Alpaca (100% superfine alpaca; 660 yds / 603.5 m per 227 g skein): 1 skein each of Silver Gray (MC) and Natural (CC)

22 sts and 31 rows = 4" / 10 cm in St st with larger needles, blocked
This shawl begins with a square medallion knitted in the round. Then the two sides, bottom and top edging is knitted from the medallion stitches in the applicable direction. Top and bottom eding are picked up and knitted on.
